Eating and Enjoying Christ, K.C.

After graduating from the University of North Texas in 2000, my future options were to pursue a career or attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. Through much prayer and consideration before the Lord, the Lord lead me in my decision to attend the Full-Time Training. These last two years of the Training were the best and most enjoyable experience of my Christian life. It was through the ministry classes and spending time with other pursuers of Christ that I learned how to eat and enjoy Christ (John 6:57).

Also, I learned through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee's books the way to enjoy Christ and eat Him is by getting into the Bible verses. So every day I set aside time to read my Bible and pray over a few verses. I would use the very words in the Bible to pray back to the Lord (Ephesians 6:17-18). This helped me to enjoy Christ. In this way, He became real to me and filled my days with enjoyment.

Another experience I had of enjoying the Lord was spending time with other seekers of Christ. We would come together to sing hymns prayerfully, recite lines from the hymns, and call loudly “Oh Lord Jesus!” We all received a taste of Christ (1 Peter 2:3) and God became our spiritual nourishment.
